I'm not really one for graphic tees, just typing the words conjures up images of pre-pubescent girls in Abercrombie and Fitch shirts... which is probably why I'm not a fan. Tweens aside, I do like these, and would maybe even treat myself to a little graphic-action if they weren't ridiculously overpriced.

find peace
Ugh, what a terrible last few days we've had. Our house was broken into Thursday and I've been a bit of a wreck ever since. I think Will actually witnessed me having a nervous breakdown, it wasn't pretty. Without going into details, a lot of important information was stolen, including freelance work, and just about every picture I've taken for the last 3 years, which were on my computer. I've done just about everything I can to try and find it, and though I'm not going to stop looking, I'm starting to realize that I just have to let go. There's just something so personal about being robbed, something so gut retching about someone breaking down your door and ripping things out of the wall, it's sort of all I've been able to think about, and I'm sick of it. I'm not over it, and I'm certainly not going to forget anytime soon, but I am going to be thankful they didn't take more, and nobody was hurt. There are plenty of people out there in worse situations, and by comparison, we're lucky.
On another note, I took my coworker's engagement photos Sunday, on a lovely rainy day, which is where these are from, but more on that later.

entry envy
I'm not sure if what we have really counts as an entry. It's more the wall next to the door across from the couch, but either way it need some love. It's currently a mash of cheap press board, including a shoe rack I'm pretty sure I stole from my old roommate when she moved, the cheapest bookshelf you can buy at ikea, a table I've had since I moved out of my mom's house, and some ugly wall hooks. At a glance it's not terrible, but I'm over it.
That said, I found an awesome blog today, who's author has a home I want to break into and steal everything out of. Among the many beautiful rooms, the entry caught my eye. It's simple, clean, and what I eventually want mine to sort of look like.

Planned Parenthood Burlesque Event
Last weekend I shot at a fundraiser for Planned Parenthood, and it all went really well. Heather did an amazing job putting it together, the acts were fabulous, and my lovely assistant Camille was a huge help. It was certainly an interesting experience for me, as I was woking with equipment I had never used before, and there was definitely a learning curve, but hey.
Here are a few pics from the event.

RC + AC
I'm finally getting around to posting the invites I designed for some friends of mine this summer. Though sadly I couldn't attend the wedding, I was very happy to be able to be part of their day, and I love the way they turned out.

instant cameras
I love that these have grown in popularity, as they are everywhere, and affordable. I have an old polaroid camera, which is awesome, of course, but even with the impossible project, film is still pretty expensive. I've been itching to buy another instant camera lately, and these three have caught my eye.
Fuju Instax Mini 25 - $124 + $22 for 20 exposures
Polaroid z2300 - $160 + $25 for 50 exposures
Fuli Instax Wide Instant Camera - $80 + $40 for 40 exposures
Although the polaroid is more expensive, it's the most compact, holds an SD card, and the film is the least expensive, so I think that's what I'm leaning towards. You can also buy film with a white border too, for a more classic polaroid look.

epic
Last night was amazing, and for so, so, so many reasons. I felt proud to be Washingtonian yesterday, and even more so today, minus the slight hangover. We watched the coverage unfold in Capitol Hill and when all was said in done people poured into the streets, drink in hand. There was crying, there was hugging, there were even fireworks. It was a great night.

it's that time of year
We're planning our wrapping paper designs for this year's DEI holiday gift and I realized I never shared last years. This is the one I designed (of 3).
