fake vintage social media ads

I found these today and thought they were pretty awesome. Again, I think I've been watching too much MadMen lately.

we're moved!

The long anticipated move into our new house was yesterday and I couldn't be more happy. We worked like mad to get it put together yesterday and it's deferentially on it's way. At the top of my list of things to do (among about 500 other things), is to do a little panting. The landlord gave us the green light to paint and I'm now itching to get my hands on rollers. The entire house is already painted, and quite nice, but not necessarily to our taste. For starters, our bedroom is light blue, my arch nemesis. As nervous as I am about painting a room black, I think I'm going to bite the bullet and do it, I just love the way it looks. It might honestly just turnout to be an accent wall depending on my level of confidence. Here's a little inspiration to keep me motivated.

lake retba

Yes, this is real, I sort of didn't believe it at first either. It's in Senegal, and it's color is due to a high level of salt, so as you can imagine it's very easy to float in. Read more about it here.

blissfulcase

After launching my iphone onto the ground at full force about 72 times it's getting a little slow, and I'm thinking it's about time to upgrade. Upgrading of course means a new fancy case to go with my new fancy phone (which I don't actually have yet), I found this little etsy store today which has a lot of cool designs I'm diggin'.

paintbrush packaging

I know the mustache thing is sort of overdone, but this is pretty clever.

house tour

A few shot of our apartment before we pack up and ship out.

pioneer square post office

On a shoot a few weeks ago I shot the Post Office (among other things) in Pioneer Square, these are a few edited imaged I particularly liked.

movin' and shakin'

The time has finally come, we're finished with the city life for now and are heading for suburbia. As a promise to my dear friend Sarah who never got to see out little apartment I'm going to attempt to document it tonight before the packing begins. We've really loved living on the hill in the middle of the crazy, but we're ready for all the things you can't have in an apartment; gardens, barbecues, peace and quite, to name a few. Here's to new adventures and sleeping without earplugs.

This print is via Scout's Honor Co, an awesome little print shop.

painting by michael cina

I've honestly always been on the fence about abstract art, but something about these paintings caught my eye. The use of color is gorgeous, and I love the amount of movement each piece has. Check out all his work here.

areaware alarm clock

I just purchased this little guy today, here. If you sign up for an account they give you $15 store credit, which is always a nice incentive to spend money. This isn't actually an alarm clock, but it's a dock for your iphone. For those of you like myself who use your phone for an alarm clock and don't really need a real clock, it's kinda perfect. The cord sticks out a hole in the back so it can charge too.

free-standing vertical garden

I saw this today and thought it might just be perfect for our new place. Out backyard is pretty large, but only has one raised bed, and on the top of our list is to add another. I've always been fond of how vertical gardens look, now I might actually have the opportunity to create one!

And no, we're not in our new place yet, in fact we're 3 weeks aways. I'm obviously getting a little antsy.
