TWO BEERS BREWING : SUMMER SESSION ALE

There's a new can in town! We recently completed and launched the new seasonal can design for Two Beers. It should be appearing in stores soon, keep your eyes out...

Sometimes when procrastinating on a project I find myself designing other things, just for fun. No clients, no deadlines, just making something for the sake of making it. This is one of those things.

INSPIRED BY : THE WORK OF ZACHARY SMITH

I've always been so drawn to hand drawn type. It's a skill I have yet to master, but have been working on more and more lately. Zachary Smith's entire portfolio is very inspirational, and make me want to grab some pens and pencils and get to work.

PROCESS : 19TH & MERCER

I realized though I share a lot of completed work, I rarely share the process, and though this logo was completed several months ago, I thought it would be a good one to start with. 19th & Mercer is one of the more beautiful pieces of architecture I've branded, it's a high end building, very Northwest modern design, and they wanted a brand that felt simple yet sophisticated. They ended up choosing #1, which I was quite happy about, but I did think there were some other nice options. It was decided the font was slightly too playful on #2, but it's still one of my favorites.

TWO BEERS : SINGLE HOP

I just realized I've yet to share an awesome new project, Two Beers Brewing recently launched their single hop, single farm series, and as it's a specialty beer we got to go a bit outside the brand and create something really modern and fun. The beer is also awesome, it's hands down one of the smoothest IPA's I've had, I highly recommend it. Not sure when it'll be in stores but it's available in their tasting room, The Woods.

NEW WORK : RED JUNCTION SKIS + SNOWBOARDS

Check it! I'm excited to share the snowboard and skis I designed for Red Junction, an awesome new venture at the foot of Mt Baker. This boutique shop specializes in powder boards and skis, making a small quantity of high quality products. Go check them out! And if you're feeling super supportive, buy a board ;)

SNEAK PEAK: TWO BEERS BREWING

I've been doing a ton of work for Two Beers Brewing and I can finally show off a few things! Alright, well one thing; the splash page! The entire site in the works, and the cans and bottle will be out in the fall, but here is a glimpse to hold you over...

I shared the logo I did for my Dad's company a while back, but I have updates! The website went live today and I'm really pleased with the results. Check it out here.

Sneak Peak: Seattle Cider Co

I have officially shared this every place I can think of on the interweb, because I'm PUMPED. We just finished the can and logo design for Seattle Cider Co, which will be available in stores this fall. There is of course a ton more to come, but I had to share this in the mean time. Cheers!

I've been meaning to post this for a while but...A few photos I took of Andrew + Courtney are up on their beautiful wedding website! Andrew, our developer designed this lovely site, and it's starting to get some love in the blog world, popping up on design and development blogs. Rad!

How the hell is it friday already?

Annnnnd yet another week has flown by. Remember when I used to update this thing? Also remember how I said I was going to bring my camera with me all weekend and take lots of pictures? Turns out I'm a liar, not only did I not take any pictures, I didn't even take it with me anywhere. FAIL.

Oh well, on to pretty things. I'm working on a fun project right now that involves creating patterns, so I've been doing some inspiration research and stumbled upon this tumblr, among others. If you're needing a little creative boost, I would recommend it.

That's all for now. I would promise to update this next week with photos of my fun filled weekend but that would probably be a lie...again.

So it's back to the real world over here, and damn have I been busy. Between catching up on work and fighting a cold, I have been friggin' swamped. But, I wanted to take a second to share a brand that I've been working on. There is still a ton to come (collateral and such) but the splash page launched and has gotten picked up by a few design sites, which is always awesome to see.
