DC

So I finally visited DC and was in photography heaven! The architecture on the East coast is amazing, so different from the West, Seattle especially. I found myself taking more pictures of buildings than anything else...
Georgetown

Georgetown
I'm not sure what it was about this funeral home but it both cracked me and left me in awe...

I love the guy doing the classic posed pic...

I managed to make the Capitol look spooky

Spring Color Inspiration

To make up for the fact that today is gloomy and sad I decided to post some images from when it wasn't... this weekend! I wandered around the last few days in a spring daze picking flowers and remembering how much I love Seattle in the Spring. Suffices to say Seattle is a bit bipolar however, and a beautiful sunny weekend can be followed by a gloomy monday. It feels as though the city looks you in the eye and says, "alright you had your fun, now back to work."

Design Love: Bringin' Back the Coo Coo Clock

That's right, the Coo Coo Clock is back, and more awesome than ever... I'll admit it, I want it pretty badly..
Of course something this awesome couldn't be $20 at Ikea, but $350 shipped from some store in Italy. damn..

Design Love: Pantones Pantones Everywhere

I love stumbling across something so simple and yet so genius as playing off pantones. I found these two examples on various design blogs and I cannot wait to do something like this of my own! I'm thinking a striped wall..

Screen printing

Around Christmas, Camille and I taught ourselves how to screen print and I realized I never posted the final product! I love the way this print turned out, the wood canvas is awesome, and something I want to use more.

Spring Has Sprung! Kind of...

I know it's just a teaser, what with the beautiful weather and buds popping up, but I'm so excited about the cherry blossoms I had to take some pictures. I never realized how many cherry blossoms were in a 4 block radius of my house. It's makes me very happy.

Weekly Design Love: The Stendig Calendar

I've seen this on numerous design blogs and finally bought one, and I love it! Pair with my screen saver (oh and my amazing new imac) and you're in design nerd heaven. And it's somewhat practical! How you ask?? It doubled as wrapping paper when the month is over. booh-ya.
