A new way to show your stuff

KIM KELLY - Project Manager from Ryan Cory on Vimeo.

In today's world of applying for jobs in a competitive market, it certainly doen't hurt to have something a little extra attached to your name. I'm talking of course, about a new trend in resumes; video resumes. What once was just for producers and videographers, my friend Ryan is opening up to just about anyone. I'm in love with this idea because it's something totally new and entertaining, and it shows possible employers a different perspective, aside from what it is on paper. It's a great way to showcase your personality, and it's buzzworthy.

Before and After on Design*Sponge

I so happy that a project I recently posted, has appeared in Design*Sponge this morning! I constantly surf D*S's "Before and After" section hunting for inspiration, and now I can proudly say I have something in there of my own!
Thank you to the awesome people at D*S for choosing my project for their lovely blog!

Tuesday Dinner Night

What began as a night filled with classic movies has ever evolved to a big dinner with family and friends, and I couldn't be happier. Sarah and Liz, the founders of movie night, have moved to pursue their dreams in other cities around the world, and I'm sure they would be happy to know their legacy lives on, even if it has morphed a bit.

Now on Tuesday evenings (well, most Tuesdays) Will and I, and sometimes others, have been gathering at either my apartment or Camille's house for a big dinner. Last night Camille and I whipped up a big batch of chicken enchiladas. Although a simple recipe, it is one dear to my heart. It's a dish I've only ever made with my dad, and reminds me of weekends in Friday Harbor, my sister, dad and I crammed in the kitchen of the houseboat, everyone with their individual task, helping to craft dinner.

Last night was a testament to how much food can spark memories, and provide the definition of comfort food. Sometimes good food is just that, good, and others it's much, much more.

Note the sangria in the background, not too bad considering it's out of a box!

Before and After

My little office cabinet get's a makeover! All it took was a little paint and some new hardware from Anthropologie.

Shots from around the hill

I finally took some time to walk around the hill yesterday and snap a few shots. I've been wanting to do this for a while, and not had time until recently. I'm trying to make a point in my week between jobs to catch up on some projects, and photography is an on going one. I hope to someday nail down a theme and get enough shots I like to display them in a gallery or coffee shop, but I'm far far away from that.

Hike Last Weekend

I have a few shots froms the hike the gang and I went on last weekend I have yet to post! Will, Camille, Chris, Arabella and I went to Wallace Falls last Saturday for a 5 mile hike which was just perfect. Not to long,  not to hot out, just good 'ol sore legs all of Sunday.

From half way up

View from... almost the top?
Moe is clearly not a fan of the back of the jeep, but a huge fan of Camille
Pretty things.

Great new online find!

I was surfing the web this morning and stumbled upon the greatest little online vintage market, and I'm absolutely in love with it. This adorable shop in Philadelphia, Three Potato Four, is one of those shops that if they were in Seattle, I would live in. I've already virtually lived in it for about an hour this morning, and did a tinsy bit of shopping. It actually looks very similar to Second Use, which is an awesome thrift/vintage/home store in SoDo. It's one of those places that make me want to buy an old house to not only restore, but decorate head to toe.

Found at Three Potato Four, one of those awesome little things I really want to find a reason for buying...
Ok, I'll admit I bought this. But it's has a purpose, I just haven't figured out what it is yet.
From Second Use, one of those awesome thing I hope to some day fit into my home.
